I fell in love with Tanzania as a student midwife back in 2012 and had a life changing volunteer experience coupled with some amazing adventures. After hearing and seeing some unpleasant corporate programmes and missed opportunities to really make a difference both in their own practice as well as the countries in which they volunteer in I started wanting to create my own programme. I wanted to start a non profit company and use both my experience, knowledge and connections to enable others to be part of my aim in helping improve healthcare in Africa, predominantly in maternity. I want your experience to make an impact and believe that your experience and insight is just as important as what the programme can offer. Volunteering is a two-way thing, it’s not just about the skills and knowledge you can bring but how you put this into practice, gain new ways to communicate and listen, even getting back to the basics with supportive care. You genuinely come away knowing you've made a difference, you will grow in ways you didn't think you could, even making life long friends and connections along the way.

Africa is such an amazing country but sadly open to exploitation. Therefore I only offer a programme to university students and professionals in the fields of healthcare and education and with a current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS Check). I personally have been to every placement I offer, spoken to majority of the staff and have numerous discussion with patients and families who all look forward to your visits and input.

Ultimately I've wanted to combine clinical experiences that make a genuine impact with cultural visits and excursions so that you can experience fully the beauty of Africa whilst giving back to the communities.

We can tailor to your needs and speciality as much as possible and have focused our programmes on more rural clinics and hospitals so that they will benefit from our volunteers programme where it is most needed. This will also ensure the costs remain as low as possible with the fees going directly to the placement you have chosen.
